Jakki’s work is inspired by the natural world around her, both the intricate patterns and details in the abundant local flora, and the fleeting glimpses of wildlife hidden in the woodlands, hills and coastal locations around her home and studio. Jakki’s sgraffito ceramics explore the delicacy of her subjects in their surface decoration, iconic forms and the striking play between positive and negative space. Language also informs her designs especially folklore, storytelling and sayings. ‘An Eclipse of Moths’ is the collective term used to describe a grouping of moths. Jakki has paired groups of moths with the phases of the moon to develop a collection of work exploring this connection.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Jakki Trainor","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55614275060088,"sku":"26AO113","price":200.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0016\/8014\/6476\/files\/JakkiTrainor-AnEclipseofMoths-FullMoon.jpg?v=1784737241","url":"https:\/\/atelierbrighton.co.uk\/products\/26ao113","provider":"Atelier Beside the Sea","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
