by Emma Lacey.
The Everyday Range range is hand thrown in Emma's studio using a fine stoneware clay and is finished with beautiful, tactile satin matt glazes. Each piece is dented while the clay is still soft giving a sensual aesthetic and a form that is ergonomic to use.
Dimensions are 7.5cm tall by 9cm diameter with 350ml capacity approximately, shape and colour might differ slightly due to the pieces being made by hand.
Emma Lacey’s hand-thrown stoneware ceramics are as pleasing on the eye as they are to hold in the hand. Her ‘everyday’ range of functional tableware is glazed in a tactile, satin-matt finish and comes in a pleasing rainbow of sophisticated shades. The Brighton University and Central Saint Martins graduate continues her exploration of subtle and sensual forms in her North London studio, designing and creating highly collectable, contemporary ceramics that very much bear the mark of the maker.
This work was shown at Atelier Beside the Sea as part of the Pots, Prints and Jewellery exhibition.
