She cites her professional photographer Mum, as informing her joy of tone and light. Animals are the main theme of her work, exploring wildlife, equine and domestic subjects, primarily focusing on dynamism and movement. Using charcoal, she focuses on how one can express movement and portray the essence  of the animal. Initially using broad sweeping gestures on the paper to find it's form and sense of self and then refining the image slowly allows the animal take shape on the paper. Cats have always been a part of her life, and she has used them as models and inspiration over the years.Their balletic forms are a natural attraction for an artist, whilst at the same time their ability to be so still and composed in their repose provides many opportunities for study. Ann lives and works in the South Downs, with a husband, two tabby cats and the ghost of a much missed Abyssinian.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Ann Hollaway","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55664325460344,"sku":"FG026","price":475.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0016\/8014\/6476\/files\/AnnHollaway-Contemplation.jpg?v=1789729432","url":"https:\/\/atelierbrighton.co.uk\/products\/fg026","provider":"Atelier Beside the Sea","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
