He moved in with his forever humans just a few days later! For this piece, I used vintage printed paisley fabric for the wooden bookcase he’s standing on. The bookcase is full of embroidered and painted books which feature some of my favourite cats in fiction! Drawing is at the heart of her work, and she is known for intricate pencil drawings as well as colourful free motion embroidery textile art, where she uses her sewing machine to draw, transforming vintage textiles and embellishments into treasured art. She's particularly fascinated by animals, and capturing the individuality of each creature. A big part of her process involves observing how the animals interact with their environment, and making sketches and videos to work from in her studio. Her textile art is inspired by bright colours and combining patterns and textures in fun and interesting ways. Brighton's bold, colourful arts scene had a big influence on her practice growing up, and she's really pleased to be exhibiting her work in the city. Fiona's work is regularly exhibited across Oxfordshire, and is held in private collections in the UK and internationally.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Fiona Scutcher","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55664329523576,"sku":"FG110","price":800.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0016\/8014\/6476\/files\/fiona_scutcher-artwork-2-benjy-the-birthday-cat-Fiona.jpg?v=1789735276","url":"https:\/\/atelierbrighton.co.uk\/products\/fg110","provider":"Atelier Beside the Sea","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
