Meet extraordinary knitting and crochet queen, Kate Jenkins at Kate's Cones Ice Cream Parlour on Saturday afternoon.

Visiting the exhibition and meeting Kate is free and there is no need to book.

Kate will be present in the gallery, doing some knitting and crochet demos and will assist you in choosing your very own Kate's Cones artwork. This is your chance to own a bespoke knitted ice cream artwork. Choose one, two or three ‘scoops’ of knitted ice cream and from a variety of toppings in embroidery and beads. These will be encased in a special perspex box and signed for you hang on your wall. A true collaboration between you and the artist.

There is a menu of choices and pricing for your bespoke ice cream artwork. See the second image.

Kate Jenkins is a knitting genius and one of the most original and innovative artists in the UK. Famous for her unique crocheted food, Kate takes a nostalgic and humorous look at everyday food and recreates them in wool, wit and sequins. From life size bakeries, fishmongers and bagel bars Kate has created the most instagrammable food meets art experiences on the block.

“While my journey has been varied and exciting, one thing never changes,” she says. “Whatever I create, whether it’s a carton of French fries, a tin of sardines or a box of frogs I always include lots of warmth and a dash of wit. Above all, I want my work to make people smile.”
