He produces highly detailed works in pencil and have been creating daily gel-pen sketchbook drawings since 2013 which are often re-crafted into conservation-quality digital prints. His artworks are housed in collections that include the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Whitworth Art Gallery, the Government Art Collection and the Museum of London. John completed a doctorate on drawing and memory in 2008.
