The Bird House is a contemporary take on the 1940s lithographed Bantam Picture Books. It is illustrated by award-winning artist/illustrator Clive Hicks-Jenkins and explores his endless fascination with birds. Not only the living birds that have enhanced our lockdown, but birds conjured from imagination, tin toys, fairground ornamental birds, lustre ware, toys of all kind.
This is a small format book, soft covers, stapled, as in the originals and fully illustrated at 16 pages and 97 x 130mm. This new edition is a small run, published in an edition of 500, of which just 250 are for sale and each will be numbered. These will be housed in a newly designed special folder too.
