Course summary:
Introducing three brand new Argentinian embroidery stitches!
Don't miss the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the magic world of embroidery with Adriana Torres, renowned Argentine artist and specialist in letter design. Adriana travels the world sharing her vast teaching experience and knowledge in the art of embroidery.
In this workshop, for which no prior experience is necessary, participants will explore a new alphabet inspired by the flora and fauna of the forest.
During this class you will learn many embroidery stitches, such as Colcha stitch, Towel stitch, Quaker stitch, Argentinian Knot, Argentinian square knot, and The Argentinian Picot, among others. These are brand new stitches that Adriana will share for the first time during this tour through Europe, America and Asia.
This workshop is an invitation to creativity and the learning of unique techniques.
This is a companion class to Play and Stitch (which takes place on the 20th of July). These classes were conceived as a two-day creative retreat and are intended to be complementary. It is, however, possible to enroll in either one individually.
Both in The Forest Alphabet and Play & Stitch, students will acquire proficiency in identical embroidery techniques, including Colcha stitch, Towel stitch, Quaker stitch, Argentinian knot and square knot, and Argentinian Picot, among others. However, the thematic content and the pedagogical approach to these techniques diverge entirely.
