About the artist:
I have always been inspired by nature, particularly how it feels to be at one with the Sea or to observe the natural flow of water, making it its natural groove and adapting to obstacles. Nature provides us with the most beautiful and sometimes unexpected palette and range of colour which I am constantly amazed by.. I am lucky enough to live by the sea in West Sussex and feel its awesomeness on a daily basis. I know to create is a drive within everyone of us and without it we can feel stagnant. The healing power. Of self expression, connectedness and the sharing of our art is fundamentally important I feel on a soul level. I have seen firsthand, arts ability to heal over my 25+ years as a mental health nurse. I love the process of colour and flow in art and use inks, paint and water soluble pencil to explore this. I am interested in the blend and connection and so will often use a mixture of mediums to achieve this, reflecting the diversity we see in our everyday.
