Are you looking for an original and quintessentially Brighton venue for your next meeting or event? Or a location to run your creative workshops? Our gallery and studio on Brighton beach are available to hire.
Set between the Palace and West piers, our refurbished fishing arches offer a creative, flexible and inspiring solution.
Our three gallery and workshop spaces are available in their entirety or individually by ‘the arch’. They make an ideal setting for corporate away-days and meetings, product launches and exhibitions, training days and seminars, art and craft workshops, talks and film screenings, book launches and much, much more. Consider them a blank canvas.
We can even arrange bespoke creative workshops for your office away-day or private party with one of our experienced tutors.

Our location
Atelier Beside the Sea is located at beach level, just yards from the shore. Our gallery doors open onto the lower promenade, with vibrant cafés, bars & restaurants, and all that the seafront has to offer. Brighton station, transport links, and city-centre car parks are all within a ten-minute walk, and we are close to the historic South Lanes and Brighton Pavilion.

Arch 1
This gallery is a space for surprising, fresh and original contemporary art, craft and design. It makes an inspiring backdrop for meetings and away-days.
Arch 2
This gallery stages a programme of contemporary exhibitions which change every 6-8 weeks. This arch, which contains a small raised stage at the rear, is particularly suitable for talks, exhibitions and product launches, and can accommodate up to 50 people seated and 70 standing.
Arch 3
Our third arch has been refurbished to create a comfortable and well-equipped creative studio. We offer a range of creative workshops and classes in this atmospheric space, which is particularly suitable for screenings and theatre-style events. Why not run your creative courses here? We offer discounts for repeat and block bookings.

Refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits and water) are available free of charge for up to 15 people, and £2.50/head thereafter.
We can work with you to source creative workshop materials, or, for more specialist courses, you are invited to provide your own.
We can host bespoke workshops for away-days, get-togethers and alternative hen parties, working with our extensive network of creative tutors.
Examples of courses we have hosted include drawing, painting, marbling, cyanotype, and photography.
We also offer the space to creatives who are looking to hire a venue to run their own courses.
