About the artist:
I see myself as a citizen of a proud island nation, with my roots firmly on the British coastline. Coastal places often evoke happy and poignant memories for us all, particularly if we spent many childhood days by the sea, so I love to capture the character and charm of these places in my sketchbooks. I draw using a black pen, and then translate these drawings into paintings, adding in a muted colour background and pops of brighter colour to bring them alive.
