Utilising a bakelite escutcheon plate as a canvas, or backdrop, a vintage gold brooch has been reframed, given a new life, with recognition of the skill of its original maker. Within the jewellery trade, most unwanted items are simply melted down. Jo felt the need to celebrate the work of the original maker, while creating a contemporary wearable piece. Hallmarked.
