by Holly Berry.

This modern woven blanket is made using a double cloth loom technique, giving two contrasting sides which means that you can use and display your woven cloth in various ways depending on your mood. The word LOVE is woven and repeated throughout the design of this large blanket, using Morse-code markings to create the distinct and colourful pattern, dot and dash marks repeat four times across the front width of cloth in rows from right to left. The label is always on the bottom right corner to help you orientate or ‘read’ the cloth and the LOVE pattern/word is:

._.. _ _ _ ..._ .

The reverse of the cloth is rich in lichen tones, punctuated with stone grey blocks and harmonious shades of geranium pink, tangerine, cinnamon and deep teal.

Whether you lay this over your bed or drape over your sofa; wrapping yourself in this comforting and meaningful cloth will keep you warm and bring a sense of loving connection.

This is the third small batch of limited edition LOVE blankets, traditionally woven in the UK. All mill woven pieces start life as hand woven developments and swatches on my workshop hand-looms before being sent to the mill for careful small batch manufacture.

Made from 100% natural and durable lambswool.

Zero-Waste. All yarn ends are home composted and selvedges used for packaging ‘ribbons’.

Dimensions: 158cm x 207cm + 8cm tassel.

Material: 100% Lambswool.

Dry clean only.

Holly Berry runs a thoughtful hand-weaving workshop from the bottom of her beautiful garden in South East London. Producing small batches both in house and from a 200 year old weaving mill, Holly Berry produces intuitive and contemporary woven textiles in the form of scarves, blankets and other accessories for the home and body. Her slowly made woven works make warm, comforting and long-lasting companions. Weaving is a form of expression and reflection for Holly, who creates patterns and harmonies that tell stories, make connections and find balance. Many of her weaving patterns translate Morse code into the cloth structure, communicating messages of love, comfort and connection. This thoughtful and sentimental practice merges tension with harmony, process with patience, light with shade and warp with weft.
