A handmade screen print of a lion who's enjoyed a particularly heavy lunch, including a tiger and a panther (he probably started with a delicious green salad if you're worried about his health).
It's printed onto beautiful gilt edged card (800gsm - which means it’s very very thick!) so it’s definitely an object to treasure. The corners are rounded. The image is made up of 15 colours, (including a secret glow in the dark layer) each printed individually by hand: turquoise-blue, pale pink, bubblegum pink, a slightly different bubblegum pink, bright pink, yellow, orange, bright red, golden yellow, orangey brown, glow in the dark, gold and black.
Dimensions: 12.5 x 17.5 cm.
Edition of 75, numbered, titled and signed.
Charlotte Farmer is a screen printer and illustrator with a love of colour and fine detail. She studied at Saint Martins, gaining a masters in Communication Design, specialising in illustration. She lives and works in the pretty city of Bath with frequent trips to Bristol for screen printing at Spike Print Studio. Charlotte's favourite things include (not necessarily in this order): drawing, screen printing, super bright colour combinations, making maps, coffee, collecting a variety of brush pens for hand lettering and a very spoilt cat called Margo. The screen prints she creates often involve collections of things from snowglobes, pottery figures or ice creams to tropical birds and animals. She loves collections because of the way they bring together unexpected combinations of objects and characters.
