About the artist:
This body of work has evolved over the past few years, driven by my exploration of form and function. I am drawn to creating contemporary designs that celebrate the simplicity of form while remaining fully functional. Each piece is slip-cast, then fired to stoneware temperatures, ensuring durability and suitability for everyday use. My interest lies in the interaction of textures within glazes. I experiment with layering different glazes, observing how they react and combine to create unique surfaces and visual depth. The turquoise and matt white glaze evokes the sense of coastal landscapes, while the black and matt white range offers a minimalist, contemporary aesthetic. All pieces are made from a white clay body, making them both food and dishwasher safe, practical works of art that seamlessly integrate into daily life.
