About the artist:
Karen Gorman is a figurative textile artist specialising in the meditative, immersive process of needle felting. She uses ethically sourced wool fibres, recycled wool packaging materials and beachcombed treasures to create detailed wool fibre pictures and models. Her work is a tactile, nostalgic, joyful celebration of favourite places and everyday pleasures. Karen is currently based in the Hotwalls Studios in Old Portsmouth where she works and runs workshops from her studio by the beach.
