Risograph of a Russian doll dissected into anatomical layers, exploring the theme of variation through repetition. Each layer shifts subtly, using the risograph’s quirks to highlight differences born from duplication—where every “copy” becomes an original in its own right. Available framed or unframed.
Dimensions: 42 x 29.7 cm.
About the artist:
I’m an artist based in Brighton, working across multiple mediums with a restless curiosity that drives everything I make. My pieces usually start with ballpoint sketches—scrappy, instinctive diagrams with cursive notation—and evolve through traditional and experimental processes, depending on what feels right. I rarely stick to one way of working. Instead, I try to let the materials push back, and shape the outcome as much as I do. I’m drawn to experimentation, incorporating deep layers of meaning and always aiming towards strong imagery. Each piece is its own investigation—part play, part problem, part accident. I use whatever tools make sense in the moment, or contribute further interpretation: combining analogue media with digital manipulation, layering, erasing, and reworking until something clicks. The work isn’t about perfection—it's about staying curious, honest and letting the unexpected in.
