”A study of the cat captivated by a sound or movement beyond our range of vision. Mitsu #4 uses rapid instinctive line work to capture energy, attempting to understand and feel the cat’s innate hunter and powerful sensitivity.”
Dimensions: 42 x 59.4 cm.
About the artist:
A reductionist exploration of the cat’s form, presence, and spirit. I aim to capture the essence of this beloved animal in as few strokes as possible. Each piece is a study in restraint, where either gestural form, or light and shadow express the figure and give life to the image in as few marks as possible, and with exploratory and playful marks shaping the final work. By stripping away excess, I create space for stillness and contemplation, a quiet meditation on the cat’s innate elegance and intriguing intelligence.
