About the artist:
Fabiola is an artist working primarily with printmaking techniques. She creates both intaglio and relief prints, often combining them in an experimental way, incorporating the use of collagraph, card cuts, monotype, masks, relief blocks and more. Her subject matter includes still life and landscape. Recently she has begun to explore the inclusion of collage within her print work. Fabiola studied at the University of Melbourne, completing a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts. She creates her work from her home studio in Emsworth. She is interested in light, shadows and pattern and incorporates these elements in both her landscape and still life work. Fabiola looks for what is interesting or beautiful in the ordinary and everyday world around her. Her recent work has included still life images using negative space as an integral feature.
