About the artist:
I am an amateur artist based in Haywards Heath, Sussex. I took up painting for enjoyment in later life having remembered how much I loved my art lessons at school some 40+ years ago. I have been able to spend much more time developing my practice during retirement over the past year. I am largely self-taught and continue to develop by visiting galleries and through the generosity of accomplished artists sharing their processes and experience online. I am inspired by coastal and downland scenery and dramatic skies. Having started with water colour I now predominantly paint with acrylics and increasingly use water mixable oils in my work.
