About the artist:
Paper art forms inspired by land, sea & sky. Inspired by the colours, chaos and repetitive patterns found in botanical forms and the natural world. Emma’s paper explorations focus on the construction and deconstruction of her work and culminate in assemblage paper-cut wall hangings, 3D paper forms or woven paper tapestries. Her process starts with mixing and marking the paper with mixed media - primarily watercolour. Working quickly and encouraging the curious accidents that can come from mixing mediums and deconstructing her work. This leads to cutting, scoring, tearing and weaving these deconstructed works and assembling them into something new.
