Original Lino Cut print on a soft white Somerset 250 gsm paper using specialist light fast inks. Each print will vary slightly in placement and ink distribution as it is printed by hand.

Kim Carlow Printmaker: I live by the sea in Tenby, I also used to live in Brighton in the nineties. My medium is lino cut and I studied a Masters Degree in Fine Art Printmaking at Chelsea College of Art. Having been born in the midlands, may be the excitement of visiting the sea has never quite left me. I am easily delighted by coastal architecture, boats and harbours, the sea itself and on I could go. These pleasures inspire my work, but the bonus is hearing other people’s stories and connections to specific places. I Like that my work reminds them of happy times or provides a poignant link to share with family and friends. One buyer of The Paddle Steamer Waverley print, told of a memorable school trip as a young boy where he boarded the boat and travelled along the Thames. Personal histories, and at times local history can weave together and add layers to these images. Other times they are purely a celebration of our coast.
