About the artist:
Ruth is a Brighton based artist and printmaker who has been print making for over 20 years. In her recent series, she combines her love for unique Sussex architecture and all creatures that live in the depths of the sea. Ruth’s series of hand drawn, hand pulled screen prints, Cephalopod Scenes, reimagines buildings occupied or even conquered by an inquisitive octopus. She loves the contrast in drawing the patterns and structure in buildings with that of the fluid, agile octopus. Ruth draws her images from which she creates four to six-layer screen prints.
