About the artists:
Ruth Waters creates her illustrations using collage. Made by hand, she uses paper that she decorates using rollers, old paint brushes and sponges – anything to create a textured and tactile effect. She then cuts and layesr the paper to make unique pictures. The South Downs and surrounding landscapes inspire her work. Ruth is also a children’s picture book author and illustrator. She has five published picture books and have illustrated many children’s education books. She is represented by the Bright Agency for children’s illustration. She has been short-listed for the World Illustration Awards 2020 and 2019.
