Collection: Trevor Scobie
Born in sunny Brighton in 1956, Trevor Scobie grew up in and around the ocean, spending much of his childhood drawing and exploring his coastal surroundings. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a skilled illustrator, designer and typographer designing and painting book covers, brand identities and typefaces. His self taught talents have influenced his professional pursuits, with experience spanning James Bond novels and conceptually led science-fiction covers for Ray Bradbury, Puffin Classics, and many others.
After years of designing and creating for other authors and organisations, Trevor picked up the paintbrush for his own leisure, returning to oil, and in turn, water. Over the past years he has honed his technique and understanding of the material, creating a distinct style that captures the purity of the colour, light, and movement that flows through our coastal waters.
