A series of thrown Cylinder Vases made from mix of stoneware clays and porcelains, handmade by Mizuyo Yamashita. All have a beautiful flower-like detail at base. Some have a frosted matte glaze, some are left unglazed. They look great grouped together.

Mizuyo uses a variety of techniques for her ceramic work including carving with chisels, which is a popular technique in Japan called Kezuri. She is interested in combining the cultures of English and Japanese to create contemporary ceramic objects.
