About the artist:
I am a printmaker specialising in linocuts, and inspired, among other things, by the natural world, and old, beautifully illustrated books and ephemera. My background is in picture research and publishing, and my experience working in historical archives aids my creative inspiration hugely. I design, carve and print everything by hand and usually work with paper or fabric. I am based in Leeds, having relocated from London four years ago. My childhood was spent in Surrey and we used to visit Brighton regularly; it has a very special place in my heart.
