For over ten years Alison has been designing tiles/coasters with images. They are mostly organised in interchangeable sets of six images and are sometimes photographic and sometimes illustrational.
Alison's photographs or illustrations are sent to a printer in Stoke on Trent. The water-slide decals are printed using ceramic pigments, she then applies them to the tiles and they are fired in a kiln where the image bonds permanently with the glaze.
