This slip cast porcelain espresso cup is designed by Yuta Segawa and hand cast and individually glazed in his London studio, SGW Labs.
Single cup: 4.5 (+ handle 1.5 cm) x 5.5 cm, 40 ml / 1 oz.
Double cup: 6.2 (+ handle 2.2 cm) x 6.5 cm, 100 ml / 3.4 oz.
Due to the handmade nature of these cups they might slightly differ from the image.
SGW Lab is a ceramic studio which was founded by artist Yuta Segawa in 2018. The mission of SGW Lab is to think about the significance of craftsmanship in the context of William Morris, to believe in the worth of human labour and to explore and practice the beautiful possibilities created by handicrafts. Currently, there are 6 full-time staff members, including Yuta.
Yuta Segawa is a Japanese ceramic artist specialising primarily in producing miniature pottery. He learned advanced ceramic skills in Japan and China and developed it into a technique for making miniature pots, now in London.
