About the artist:
My practice centres around powerful and delicate animals, mostly dogs, big cats and horses. My most recent works have explored dynamic colour contrasts such as deep reds against soft blues, as well as the impact of monochrome in larger pieces. Scale has also become increasingly important in my practice, with pieces ranging from intimate 25 cm studies to large-scale 100 cm works. I am currently developing one part of my style further, this is an ethereal and more symbolic style, in which I am integrating surrealism. This reflects the complexity of emotional states that I further want to portray in my works. Furthermore, my aim is to resonate with the viewer, either bringing a sense of peace, clarity, confidence or reality to their life.
