Maker info: I am a Brighton based printmaker and illustrator with a fine arts background, working with original printmaking techniques, mainly etching, relief, metal and wood engraving. My work has surreal qualities and humour, with an old masters' feel. I aim to make hauntingly beautiful work that will stay with the viewer for a long time. I enjoy busy compositions with complex stories, based on myth and folklore, with interesting characters and patterns. Ultimately, my main inspiration is people, and I am passionate about using traditional printmaking techniques as a method for uncovering hidden stories of the past, related to labour, and labour rights. I have taken part in national and international exhibitions, illustrated the published “Effigies” poetry book by Ricardo Reveron Blanco, and have had my work featured in the Pressing Matters magazine. I have been working on a year long project illustrating worker’s rights related stories from the Bishopsgate Archive, also part of my MA Illustration degree at University of the Arts London which I graduated with distinction. I have 30k followers across Instagram, Tiktok and Pinterest, and have brand relationships with printmaking partners such as Pooki Presses, Jackson’s Art Supplies, Culiau Engraving Pen, Ironbridge Printmakers and Flexcut Tools, where they have sponsored personal projects before.
