Maker info: I work primarily in oil and enjoy exploring light, shadow, colour and form with the intention of creating atmosphere. My paintings are often sea or landscapes, focused on my emotional connection with the world and the drama of light and colour. I am also drawn to painting cities and people in London, other parts of the UK and on my travels. Brighton is the subject of the two recent oil paintings submitted, where I have set out to capture the unique light at the end of a summer’s day.
