by Simon Fraser.
Wood and metal. Seagulls. They're a right pain, aren't they? Noisy scavengers. But now you can watch a gull endlessly circle around your chips, safe in the knowledge that they'll never get a bite.
Size: 25 x 25 cm.
Listing is for one seagull with one chip bucket.
Maker info: I'm Simon Fraser and I make wooden and metal automata and hook and latch rugs. I also draw cartoons (and occasionally get them published in Private Eye), but that's another story. My automata inevitably have a sense of humour and my latest balance toy (Get Off My Chips) is a nod a perennial seaside problem. My rugs are based on small items (a lottery ticket, a Sainsbury's receipt, a rail ticket etc.) which I then enlarge. There's something about things being the wrong scale that I find very appealing and amusing. Grayson Perry clearly does too as he bought my train ticket rug.
