Maker info: My work is mainly figurative, exploring the human condition with a darkly comic eye. I originally trained as an actor, working for a number of years in touring and independent film production. Unsurprisingly, given my background in storytelling, I am compelled to make work with a strong narrative. I make original fine art prints, paintings and ceramic sculpture. My work has been described as wryly melancholic which I like - there is almost always humour to be found, even in the darkest tales. Past shows include DRAWN and Open at Bristol’s RWA, National Original Print Show at Bankside Gallery, SWA Exeter Open, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, JOURNEY at Theatre Royal Plymouth and Cape Cod Museum of Contemporary Art.
