"With so much uncertainty in our world it’s reassuring to hold something in our hands that has gravity. With the increasing emphasis on creating our built world and our art with a computer we are beginning to defer the physical pleasures of making to CAD and CAM. But I still like the sensual qualities of natural materials and subscribe to the important idea that we learn about ourselves and the world through the use of our hands. So I am offering a haptic generative art system that takes us backwards, perhaps to early childhood play or to the neolithic. A world that has form, texture and weight."

A new sculpture every day for eternity.
"The recent discovery by David Smith oh a non conformal geometric tessellation that has become known as the ‘Einstein tile’ has been the singular inspiration for my latest family of modular sculptures. The Einstein tile has the extraordinary property of never repeating its position when laid our on a two dimensional plane. I have extracted a family of three dimensional elements from this geometry that are modular and interconnected in three axes. They can interlock, stack or stand alone. They offer infinite possibilities to generate sculptural forms."
