ATELIER OPEN 2026

We’re once again throwing open our doors to the artists of Brighton and beyond for our fifth ATELIER OPEN – an exhibition that is open to anyone over the age of 16 to apply, and open to (almost) any subject and method. The Atelier Open is brought to you by Tutton & Young who have more than 20 years experience organising some of the best Art and Craft events in the country, including MADE London, Brighton Art Fair and MADE Brighton.
Applications are now open to exhibit at this popular summer show, which is open daily over the busiest eight weeks of the year on Brighton Seafront. Both our gallery spaces will be brimming full of artworks of all kinds with a huge variety of subjects and media. Last year we exhibited 395 artworks by 215 artists.
HOW TO APPLY:
-
Read the Key Informations and Terms & Conditions below carefully and ensure your submission follows the instructions provided. Failure to do so will mean that your submission will be inadmissible and will be withdrawn from the selection process.
-
Fill out the application form – APPLY HERE. You may submit up to 4 artworks. Enter all the details accurately. You can save and edit your application multiple times until the deadline. After the deadline you will no longer be able to make any further changes.
-
Pay the application fee – The application fee is £12 (including VAT) per person which covers our administrative costs. The application fee is payable online (you will be provided the link in the submission form) and allows for the submission of up to 4 artworks per person. The application fee is non-refundable. Failure to pay the application fee by the submission deadline will disqualify the submission from the selection process.
-
Successful applicants will be notified via email around 14 June 2026. Please ensure you check your junk folder so you don’t miss it!
Due to space limitations, it is necessary for the submissions to be selected. The selection panel will comprise of the Directors and curators at Atelier Beside The Sea (also Brighton Art Fair and Made London). Sometimes artwork is selected but we run out of space so all of an artist’s work can’t be hung initially - we do try and hang all selected work over the course of the show as pictures sell and are removed.
Application deadline: 24 May 2026, 23:59
