Brighton Pavilion

Brighton Pavilion is a woodcut print featuring Brighton's wonderful Regency Pavilion and its' gardens by night, with hollyhocks, astrantia and foxes. Carved by Sarah and printed in her Brighton studio on her Hunter Penrose etching press. A deep midnight blue ink block is printed over the chine colléd areas, or cut tissues, to create soft and richer colours.

Paper size: 60 x 40 cm.
Edition of 150, numbered, titled and signed.

Sarah Young is a painter, printmaker, illustrator and maker working with narrative themes often inspired by myth, folk tales, circus and burlesque imagery. As a printmaker she is known for her lino and wood cuts but she also works in screen printing, mono print and collagraph.
