Hanging out the Washing is a giclée printed reproduction of an original painting by Sarah Young of woman hanging out paper dresses. It is based on a previous linoprint of Sarah’s of a woman hanging out prints of trees, between the trees.

This print is printed on acid- and lignin-free Hahnemühle German Etching 380gsm heavyweight 100% α-cellulose paper (alpha cellulose is characterised by its extraordinary velvety tactile feel and its fine, clearly defined felt structure) with a fibrous finish especially suited for reproducing watercolour and ink pieces.

Sarah Young is a painter, printmaker, illustrator and maker working with narrative themes often inspired by myth, folk tales, circus and burlesque imagery. As a printmaker she is known for her lino and wood cuts but she also works in screen printing, mono print and collagraph.
