Join us for a relaxed Friday evening drawing session at Atelier by Sea in Brighton, set against the vibrant energy of the seafront. Our first Friday Social workshop offers a chance to slow things down for a couple of hours, working with ink in a loose, instinctive way.
We’ll draw from simple, ecologically inspired still life arrangements, plants, organic forms, and natural textures, using them as a starting point to explore mark making, movement, and expression. Through a mix of gentle prompts and open drawing time, you’ll be encouraged to experiment, let go of perfection, and see where the process takes you. Inspired by the history of still life across fine art and illustration, this session takes a more contemporary, relaxed approach, focusing on developing your own visual language and natural style.
Suitable for all levels, this is a space to play, take risks, and reconnect with drawing in an easy, low-pressure way. Come along, have a drink, and enjoy making something in the middle of a lively Friday night.
