“Inconsistent and Uncertain” explores the surface of the sea, its rhythmic and repetitive nature. A short repeat section of written text creates rhythm and texture. The quote is taken from a book of Somerset Maugham’s short stories, based on his Pacific travels, in this section he makes reference to the Channel off Beachy Head.
