About the artist:
I prefer to think of my drawings as still life portraits as I am not setting up a scene but presenting the objects as they are. They have been used, they’ve travelled, been given away and found again. I work in pastel as I prefer the direct connection to the material and use either a subdued palette or the rich colours of the soft pastel pigments.
