Taken at Branksome Beach looking towards Sandbanks and the Purbeck Hills. After a grey stormy, and very windy evening a gap in the clouds appeared with an orange glow which gradually grew into a spectacular sky, the light and colour were amazing, it never ceases to amaze me how the weather can catch you out.
Photograph printed on C Type Fuji Flex paper.
Dimensions: 55 x 37 cm.
About the artist:
Having lived by the sea all her life; photographing the coastline is her passion, she likes to go out in winter just before dusk as colour and dramatic light contrasts are at their best interacting with the landscape and sea, changing the mood entirely. She wants to evoke a sense of place, a connection to her images, each picture is unique like a fingerprint as the light, weather, seasons and environmental conditions such as the tide control the end result. There will only be a few seconds to capture the moment, then it’s gone!
