About the artist:
Kate Forrester is an artist, letterer and illustrator working from her studio in Brighton. Having worked for many years in publishing design, editorial illustration, murals and packaging, Kate has more recently began experimenting with story telling in the form of painted wood cuts. Flower Girls is a series of original wood-cut artworks, painted in acrylic and finished with chalk pen details. Inspired by the women in her life, The Girls represent free spirits, interacting with the natural world - a little cheeky, a little joyful, unselfconscious in their strength and femininity.
