About the artist:
Krysia Drury is based in Shoreham-by-Sea, a few miles to the west of Brighton, and works in her studio there. She trained at Camberwell School of Art in south London in the late 60s and has continued as a figurative painter ever since. Her work shown here is acrylic based although Krysia also paints in oils and watercolour. Krysia is inspired by the sea and the river Adur in Shoreham but prefers to paint swimmers rather than taking the plunge herself.
