Crumbling

Crumbling' is part of a series of monotype prints made for the project 'Here, it is quiet'. Based on the location of Home Park, the work celebrates the process of decay and cyclical time in nature.

Monotype print on 220gsm Fabriano Rosaspina paper with oil based ink.

About the artist:
Lauren Isla is an illustrator and printmaker based in London. Her work explores our connection to nature through traditional ways of making such as drawing and printmaking. She is interested in researching our cultural, historical and environmental ties to place, from understanding indigenous knowledge of plants to thinking beyond the human perspective. Her work seeks to remind people that we are all connected in a living eco-system and part of something much bigger than ourselves.
