Combining linocut and monoprint, this print is inspired by watching terns flying over the Norfolk coastline near Cley.

Linocut print and monoprint on 250gsm Somerset Satin with oil based ink.

About the artist:
Nick’s art is inspired by his love of nature, particularly British birds, mammals and wild flowers seen on walks in the Hertfordshire countryside, Norfolk coast and further afield. His aim is to convey that sense of excitement felt when spotting an animal in the wild. Specializing in linocut prints, he likes to make use of bold flat colour and line, and compositions with an abstract quality. Nick has illustrated several books published over a period of twenty years and has recently started creating artist’s books in small editions. Many of his prints have appeared on greetings cards published by Green Pebble. His work has been exhibited in galleries and exhibitions throughout the country. Nick also runs linocut workshops for adults from his garden studio.
