Dreaming of Primrose

This textile piece is inspired by a dreamy Primrose that I sketched one evening when walking. The repetition in the threads representing the calmness and joy flora can bring.

Paint, pastel and reclaimed threads on fabric.

About the artist:
These textile pieces are inspired by nature, a love of flora and colour. Initial sketches and photographs inspire the pieces. The pieces have been sewn using reclaimed fabrics and threads, this sometimes dictates the colour pallette and textures created. Being by the Sea and the Downs brings great inspiration for the textile studies. Rosie studied Printed Textiles at Winchester School of Art and MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins.
