About the artist:
Carl Burns is a Brighton‑based artist working with paper to explore colour and form. Using only paper, pencil and scalpel, he creates layered compositions that highlight the tactile immediacy of the medium. Each piece is drawn, cut, and assembled by hand. His work reflects a fascination with bold colour relationships and the expressive potential of simple materials shaped with care.
