About the artist:
Flip Underdown is a Brighton based kiln-formed glass artist. He has been working with glass for more than twenty years, and enjoys using all the different techniques and designs that working with glass can offer. He is particularly drawn to the use of glass powders to create colour and form within pieces, and also the movement and flow of glass under high temperatures. Small blemishes, bubbles or imperfections in the glass are part of the fusing process and add to the individual characteristics of each piece.
