A comment on natural order and personal authenticity versus expected behaviours, conformity and manners in society. I wanted to create balance and harmony using colour relationships through a spontaneous response to the colour laid down before me.

About the artist:
Adèle is an abstract painter based in Rochester, Kent. Each painting is a very personal dialogue in abstract colour relationships where Adèle intuitively immerses herself in the process of spontaneously laying colour down, working and re-working the surface until forms that resonate emerge and inform the painting’s direction. This enables her to dialogue with the subconscious part of her that constantly seeks to understand wider issues of life stages, cycles and the human experience. Tension is constantly played out between landscape references and abstract colour relations as metaphorical symbols. This unmasks hidden depths and emotions. Adèle Love has exhibited across the UK with work in several galleries, as well as private collections. Previously a self-promoting artist, she learnt the business side of art as a gallery assistant in London’s West End and was a curator for a university gallery after completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Fine Art Management.
